From an Idea to a Community: Ana-Paula Croitoru's Guide for Young People Who Want to Make a Difference

Ana-Paula Croitoru is a student in Bucharest and strongly believes that the young generation has the power to transform the world — not through grand speeches, but through small actions, done together.

She took part in the Media Workshop on the Women, Peace and Security Agenda and the Triple Nexus, held on 22–23 July 2026 in Chișinău, and became part of the Media Fellowship Group.

She is a creative person, passionate about current issues, and convinced that each of us can contribute to change, even if we don't have all the answers from the start. She loves volunteering, travelling, and learning about life by discovering the world around her.

She created this guide for young people because she knows how it feels to want to do something meaningful but not know exactly where to begin. No one starts their journey with all the solutions. Some doors won't open — and that's okay. What matters is not giving up, Paula says.

Today, security means more than defending against armed attacks. Conflicts also unfold online, through disinformation, harassment, manipulation, and other forms of violence that directly affect the safety of people and communities. The Triple Nexus and the Women, Peace and Security Agenda are topics that belong in our society now more than ever.

The guide explains in plain language what UN Security Council Resolution 1325 is, who has a role in implementing the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in the Republic of Moldova — from the Government and Parliament to civil society, local public authorities, young people and the media — and how all of this connects to everyday life.
