The Republic of Moldova has taken courageous steps in recent years — but how prepared is it, in practice, to protect women, prevent violence, and build sustainable peace in an increasingly fragile regional context?

Moldova is currently implementing its second National Action Plan (NAP) on UNSCR 1325, has successfully conducted the first mid term evaluation of this second program, and continues strengthening institutions that integrate gender perspectives. Across the country, women are already driving change — sometimes quietly within their communities, other times on the frontlines of institutional reform.
