I4DD Launches a new international partnership to strengthen cooperation and the localization of humanitarian assistance

The Institute for Democracy and Development (I4DD) has signed a partnership with Global Responsibility in Vienna under the project “Partnerships on Equal Terms: Strengthening Future-Readiness and Solidarity of International Partnerships and Humanitarian Aid”, co‑financed by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and Global Responsibility. The project will enter into force on 20 January 2026 and will run until 30 June 2027, with a total duration of 18 months.

As part of this partnership, I4DD will actively contribute to the organization and participation in workshops, roundtables, and the development of position papers. At the local level, the institution will expand its collaboration with A. O. „CONCORDIA. Proiecte Sociale”, the co‑implementing partner, as well as with the project’s direct beneficiaries.

The project aims to contextualize and adapt the concepts of locally-led development and the localization of humanitarian assistance to the realities of the Republic of Moldova, as well as to formulate the necessary recommendations for improving these processes. To achieve these objectives, training sessions, thematic discussions, analyses, and research activities will be carried out to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the topics addressed.

This initiative promotes good practices, experience sharing, and strengthened coherence in development cooperation and humanitarian assistance, while also contributing to the preparation of post‑Agenda 2030 development steps.

I4DD, Global Responsibility and A. O. „CONCORDIA. Proiecte Sociale” are joining forces to transform the way development cooperation and humanitarian assistance are approached.
