Approaching peace and responding to the refugee crisis through the lens of gender equality and the Women, Peace and Security Agenda is the subject of the first webinar. From vision to action, the involvement of youth in carrying out the actions related to the promotion of the peace agenda is essential, especially in the Security Zone.
The webinar explains the perspective of women who bring and strengthen peace, women who are involved in decision-making to support humanitarian response actions, including the need to strengthen a program dedicated to youth for peace and security. During the discussions, examples of initiatives implemented by young men and women for peace were presented, thus ensuring a connection between the Women, Peace and Security Agenda and Youth, Peace and Security.
The PNA Secretariat is owned by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which explained the coordination role of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in the context of the second public policy document for the years 2023-2027 and the synergy of working with civil society actors and the authorities local public.
Coordination, participation, risk management, transformative change and tailored assistance were the key elements as a common approach to humanitarian response in this webinar.
