How to Monitor, Report, and Implement the Women, Peace and Security Agenda

On August 1 and 4, 2025, trainers Cristina Lesnic (I4DD) and Lucreția Ciurea (UN Women), in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs – Secretariat of the National Action Plan (NAP) 1325, facilitated two working sessions focused on strengthening the monitoring, reporting, and implementation processes of the National Programme for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 for the period 2023–2027.
The events brought together a total of 50 participants, including 46 women and 4 men, representing focal points from the authorities responsible for implementing the Programme, as well as specialists from policy and human resources departments.
Participants explored: effective methods for collecting gender-disaggregated data; Monitoring indicators included in NAP 1325; harmonization of interinstitutional reporting mechanisms; establishing a constructive dialogue framework among key institutions involved in advancing the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda in the Republic of Moldova
These trainings contributed to strengthening institutional capacities and promoting a coordinated and inclusive approach to implementing the commitments under Resolution 1325.
